Mount Munday

GeoSolutions has constructed a STM model of Mt. Munday, BC for the Landslide and Hazards Division of Geological Survey of Canada (GSC). The model has become useful for not only illustrating the effects of a major 1997 landslide, but also for measuring, documenting and gaining a better understanding of why this landslide happened and ran out for almost 5 km. It has been useful for trying to conceptualize what the physical shape of the land is and determine what factors caused the slide. The benefits of this work assist in the locating of new roads, pipelines and other utilities.
